Rip DVDs To Your Hard Drive Sans The Protection

If you're using Mac OS X and want to convert commercial DVDs to your hard drive (sans protection), Mac The Ripper is a great, free tool to do so with. The interface is very simple, allowing users to choose the geographic region code (if necessary) of the DVD and to choose only the sections you want, for instance, only the main feature (allowing most movies to fit on one DVD without compression).

Tickle Outlook GTD Style

So many people seem to be looking for ways to implement their own version of David Allen's Getting Things Done, and while I converted from Windows to Mac eight months ago, one of my all-time favorite GTD tools that is inherently found in Microsoft Outlook (no add-ins needed) is the ability to "tickle" email. The process takes a bit of setup but when it is done, you can assign tasks, resources, and due dates right in your Outlook viewing plane and stash those emails until follow-up is needed hence cleaning your your inbox.
